Biography · 01

A life between places and languages.

Mira Leka is a fictional Albanian-language novelist and essayist whose work explores memory, migration and the quiet architecture of belonging.

Born beside the mountains and raised between languages, Mira Leka writes about the ways a place continues to shape us long after we have left it. Her novels move between family histories, public silence and the private rituals through which people rebuild a sense of home.

Her essays examine reading, translation and the moral imagination. She lives between Prishtina and Vienna, where she is at work on a new collection of linked stories. This profile and its milestones are demonstration content created for LIBRA and do not describe a real person.

“A book should not explain the world too quickly. It should make enough room for another person to enter.”
